Rach Starr

Director of operations

Originally from the Cedar Creek National Forest area in rural Missouri, Rach is a bit of a curious character. She spent the majority of her childhood adventuring with her two sisters in their 80 acre back yard. Having limitless freedom in her formative years, you can imagine how this might mold a bit of a free spirit. Her love for all things wild only grew as she got older. Once graduating high school in Columbia, MO, Rach & her pup, Zeddington, headed for the hills of Summit County, CO. With a lifelong love for snow & the quiet, she was blessed to call this place home for the next 6 years. During her time there, Rach was able to indulge in snowboarding & the wilderness. Outside of the balancing doses of adventure & calmness that mountains brought her, she was able to begin her career.

Flourishing in Operations, Rach was able to let her OCD run wild with streamlining anything & everything. She has always been of the mind set of working smarter, not harder; a mentality she shared with her mentor, in Breckenridge, CO. Working under a chronic entrepreneur was Rach’s “college experience” & an irreplaceable one at that.

Learning the ropes of accounting processes & human resources needs, she was able to grow the company from 32 employees to 86 within an 18-month span. As you can imagine, this meant constantly analyzing & improving operational processes to keep up with the growth. To some this sounds like their personal version of hell, but Rach finds a unique rhythm to making sure everything runs smoothly. It’s the feeling of knowing she will always leave something better than she found it. Inspired by the National Parks’ mantra of “leave no trace”, Rach takes things to the next level in her personal & professional life by leaving things better than she found them. It’s ok to leave your mark, if it helps others live more happily & functionally… Coworkers & forest creatures alike.

Once Rach had shoveled snow until she could shovel no more, she hit the road for the next 18 months to see what all the beach had to offer. From the West Coast to the East Coast, Rach & Zedd were finally certain, there was nowhere like the Rocky Mountains. These two have recently found their way back home, to Denver, CO.

Today – Rach is the Director of Ops for The Evoke Group & is continually indulging in her favorite things; accounting, HR & sticking her nose into any & every process. Rach is inspired everyday by the craft & incredible work of her coworkers. Their creative abilities are unreal, which pushes her even more to want to make life easier for all. With the trajectory of The Evoke Group, Rach knows she’ll be busy for a long time & she couldn’t be happier.
