Facebook has revealed a new and improved method for showcasing your facebook page on websites called the Page Plugin. While it has many visual and interface improvements over the older “like box” many site owners may be unaware that they have only until July, 23 to switch and start missing out on website likes & conversions or even worse, a broken website.
On June 23, 2015 all current older style like boxes will stop working. Many site owners might not even be aware that there is a problem.
The upgrade is pretty straightforward if you are already using the html5 / javascript sdk. Simply go to the Page Plugin page on Facebook and setup a new widget. If you are using the even older iframe method it looks like you might be out of luck as its not supported at the time of this writing.
