Going into the relationship, Gatemaster was facing issues with their current marketing vendors alongside their existing marketing efforts in Hubspot. Although we have helped companies manage marketing through Hubspot’s marketing tool-sets, we much prefer using individual pieces to accomplish the best lead generation models. This allows for greater flexibility by replacing tools that don’t have features you need and despite reduced convenience, you are also less “locked in” to any part of the process.
Gatemaster had historically offered a very solid software product for over 25 years but in today’s environment they now offer a variety of solutions and also support other operational aspects for their clients. This was not clear from their website or marketing materials.
The other problem we faced was marketing both services that the company provides alongside subscription software products or licensed products. The customer journey could vary in so many ways, how do you market the right thing to the right person?
We worked with Gatemaster to convert their website to WordPress as well as revise all of the website content. Our team wrote new website content for over 25 pages and implemented a new page architecture that allowed for 3 primary page archives. Site content was organized across industries they served, products and their variations, and services they offered. This allowed us to relate certains services and products for specific industries and create a better customer journey with many internal backlinks to increase page visit averages.
Alongside the website, we supported design and production of materials for trade shows and other print designs that were needed throughout the year. We created email marketing campaigns that cyclically marketed their various products and services. We also managed social media campaigns that echoed the other strategies for consistent messaging.
The new website has received increased organic site traffic alongside improved form conversion rates and increased average page visits. Email marketing open rates were increased and social media engagement increased slightly.
While trying to provide a customer journey for so many different audiences, the previous site marketed Gatemaster as a singular product. The website and brand messaging updates allows Gatemaster to easily scale out new products and services now with clear pages for the sales team to direct prospective customers towards. Facebook advertising and improved trade show materials lead to a significant increase of trade show conversion.
Gatemaster fully converted their marketing stack from Hubspot to provide a savings of over $2000/month to be applied to new activities or software. The new site provides greater flexibility and with our supported website hosting and maintenance it is easy to make updates or changes as needed.
In 2019, Gatemaster was presented with the First Place Award for Best New Concept/Product for ParkTrainer at IAAPA – a new product marketed on their new website.
